The Rain Bird XBD81 is a factory-assembled Xeri-Bird 8 multi-outlet drip emission device designed for efficient water distribution in micro-irrigation systems. It threads onto any ½-inch riser and delivers water to up to eight locations, making it ideal for both new installations and retrofits. This model comes pre-installed with eight 1.0 GPH Xeri-Bug emitters and includes an integral 200 mesh (75 micron) filter that’s serviceable from the top. Each of the eight barbed outlets securely retains ¼-inch distribution tubing and can be configured with interchangeable emitters or pressure-compensating modules for flows ranging from 0.5 to 24 GPH per outlet. Alternatively, unrestricted flow is possible using self-piercing barb connectors. The XBD81 features a union base nut for easy removal from the riser, simplifying maintenance. It operates within a pressure range of 15 to 50 PSI, and for optimal performance, emitters must be installed inside the device to prevent back pressure leakage
