Cortez "sacai - Cool Grey" DQ0581 001

The Sacai x Nike Cortez “Cool Grey” is a collaboration by the avant-garde fashion brand on a modernized version of the classic running shoe. Sacai and Nike’s Cortez in the “Cool Grey” colorway is one of several styles released by the pair that honored the retro sneaker’s 50th anniversary in 2022. Sacai’s take on the model recontextualizes its design in a truly unique way. The upper features a Cool Grey nylon construction with contrasting tonal and white suede overlays on the toe, eyelets, and heel, respectively. Sacai’s signature “double” aesthetic shines through on the colorway, specifically with a second white collar layered over the original grey nylon collar on the ankle. Other layered elements include dual Swooshes on the sides, two heel tabs with “Sacai” and “Nike” branding on the back of the shoe, and stacked foam midsoles with an extended heel. Visible Air cushioning can be found on the forefoot of the midsole, a first for the Cortez. Release date: December 13, 2022
